At what age can one start diving? Every diving training course has its age limit, but a child has to be at least 8 years old. Off course the decision is made by the parents, based on their kid’s desire as well as his readiness to do diving. Instructor makes his decision based more on the kid’s physical characteristics, his ability to overcome difficulties and emotional maturity.
Is diving safe for children? The main aim of the elders is to teach their children to follow the procedure of diving and reduce the possible risk to the minimum. Strict following of the specially designed rules makes diving for children completely safe. It is carried out on the depths that guarantee safety: from 6 meters for 8 year-olds and to 18 meters for 12 year-olds.
The main pressure at the time of diving goes on the spine and legs that is why diving contributes to strengthening of the muscles of back and legs. Children adapt to being under water much faster than the elders do. They rarely have problems of any kind. Not all the grown-ups learn the special techniques that are used in diving at the first time.
